Wellwood Counselling

| To the Well |  There are times in our lives when we are thirsty, hungry, longing, depleted, exhausted, burdened, and broken down.   We need a place we can go to retreat. We need a sanctuary where we can taste life again.  This is what we aim to provide in therapy.  We invite you to meet us in the space created in the relationship between you and your therapist, and together, we hope that you can drink once more from the wellspring of life within you.

| To the Wood |  There are other times in our lives when we need to move, or we feel called. Perhaps we are in the midst of a transition, change, or a time of great discomfort.  These times can feel lonely, dark, terrifying, disorienting, and overwhelming.  In these times, we need a companion, a guide, a fellow traveler.  We are committed to walking with you through the dark wood of your life or your suffering.  We hope you allow us to come alongside you as you find your path and move toward a new way of being.

Freely Being  •  Responsibly Becoming

When we strengthen our relationship with ourselves and foster an environment that nurtures our own authenticity as well as that of others, we open a space for deep learning and self-discovery.  It is the start of a journey that involves exploring the essence of our being, creativity, identity, and meaning, thereby forging a powerful sense of self that is liberated and unburdened by external expectations and narratives.

The freedom to express our authentic self and the responsibility of self-determination go hand-in-hand. To embrace freedom is to embrace the responsibility of choice, action, and existence.  To be free is not merely to act without constraint but to assume full responsibility for the choices we make and the person we become.  Thus, the act of choosing ourselves is both an exercise in freedom and a commitment to the inherent responsibility of shaping our own path.
