Areas of Focus
Approach
Hello & thank you for taking a moment to stop by here! I am a Registered Psychologist, with ~8 years of experience in the mental health field. I enjoy working with folks of all ages, though typically focus more on late teens and adulthood. While I have supported clients with diverse presenting concerns, I have the most experience with trauma (especially tied to relationships), anxiety, shame, big emotions, and perfectionism. My primary therapy approaches are: Emotion-Focused, EMDR, and other humanistic lenses. I also strive for cultural curiosity and humility with my clients. I believe change happens when we feel accepted and supported in our uniqueness. ‘Showing up’ to therapy (whether just getting there, or opening up) can be vulnerable, so I aim to meet clients where they’re at. Sadness, humour, shyness – all are okay and welcome in therapy! I prioritize being empathetic, curious, and collaborative in my practice. In general, I don’t take myself too seriously, and value humility and genuineness. I love to learn, be outdoors, and spend time with family/friends (especially my dog Otis!). Unfortunately I am not accepting new clients right now; however, former private practice clients can reach out and we can discuss. Take care!
